Palm Academy is happy to announce a new workshop titled “Practical Sound Design for Artists,” led by the renowned 409. This workshop aims to equip artists with essential principles of sound design using open-source software. Participants will enhance their skills in adding sound to moving images and gain a deeper understanding of audio levels.

Workshop Details

Prerequisites:

- Participants must already know how to create visuals. - Have a brief sequence (6–15 seconds) ready to use during the course. - Possess a small library of their own sounds or music they wish to utilize. - Participants must hold a Palm ID to be eligible. If you don’t have it yet, it's very easy, take a look at this tutorial

Meet the Tutor — 409

409 is a self-taught musician, visual artist, audio engineer, and film sound designer. His work blends techno, polyrhythms, and complex sound design, creating captivating collages that feature glitch aesthetics and saturated tones. His visual art has been exhibited in Mexico City, London, and Tokyo, showcasing his unique intersection of music, sound, and visual arts.

Final Project & Rewards

Participants will create an audiovisual piece, details provided during the workshop. The most voted piece will receive an OG Token (409 AMIGOS) and personalized tutoring from 409.
